Elizabeth, a native of Lincoln, Nebraska, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Political Science, summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 2007. She earned her law degree from Harvard Law School in 2010.

Elizabeth is licensed to practice in both Nebraska and Texas. After graduating from law school, Elizabeth served as a law clerk to the Honorable C. Arlen Beam on the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. She then worked in private practice for both small and large firms in Nebraska and Texas, focusing on commercial litigation, professional malpractice litigation, personal injury litigation, and appellate litigation. She also worked in state government, serving as an administrative law judge and as legal counsel to a state agency. Elizabeth has experience briefing and arguing motions in state and federal courts and representing parties in administrative proceedings. She has argued before the Texas and Nebraska Supreme Courts and intermediate appellate courts.
Elizabeth has coached both mock trial and moot court teams at the collegiate and law school levels and frequently serves as a volunteer judge for local competitions. She has authored the competition problem for the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition seven times.
