Event with Union Sportsmen Alliance is a fun day of archery, fishing and more.
For the fifth year running, Provost Umphrey Law Firm, LLP is teaming up with the Union Sportsmen Alliance (USA) to host a free youth outdoors day to Southeast Texas.
On Sunday, April 26, children ages 9 to 15 are invited to participate in the free and open to the public Provost Umphrey “Get Youth Outdoors” Day.
Beginning at noon and lasting to 4:00 p.m., kids will take part in various activities including practicing casting fishing lines. Experienced sportsmen will be onhand to provide guidance. Local volunteers trained in firearms safety, will provide hands-on introductions to sporting clays shooting and archery. Equipment will be provided to participants.
The event includes a complimentary lunch, door prizes and premium drawings. The event is limited to the first 150 kids, and each registered child will receive a fishing pole that is his or hers to keep. Registrations can be made at: gyodtx2025.eventbrite.com
“It’s a great opportunity for kids to get outdoors for the day, and try something they may have never attempted before. This may be the start of a lifelong love for outdoor sports for some of them,” says Joe Fisher, Provost Umphrey equity partner.
The even also features a sporting clays shoot earlier in the day.
Both events will take place at the One in One Hundred Gun Club located at 1228 FM 421 road in Lumberton, Texas. The events benefit the Union Sportsmen Alliance’s (USA) mission of preserving America’s outdoor heritage.
