Provost Umphrey Law Firm proudly congratulates equity partner Joe Fisher II, who was honored with the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance Outdoor Heritage Award in memory of Richard L. Trumka on June 3, 2025. This award is presented to individuals who demonstrate extraordinary commitment to preserving and promoting America’s outdoor heritage for future generations.
Joe has long championed this mission both personally and through the firm’s ongoing partnership with the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance. One initiative especially close to his heart is Get Youth Outdoors Day, an annual event designed to introduce young people to the joys of outdoor activities. Held every April for the past five years, the event features free fishing gear giveaways, raffles for hunting licenses and outdoor trips, and engaging experiences that spark a lifelong love for nature.
“There’s nothing better than seeing a child light up when they catch their first fish or learn something new about being outdoors,” said Joe Fisher. “Helping them get excited is what it’s all about. I’m truly honored to receive this award and look forward to getting even more kids outdoors in the years to come.”
The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) is a nonprofit conservation organization built by and for union members. Its mission is to unite the union community in service of protecting wildlife habitats, expanding public access to the outdoors, and passing along our nation’s outdoor traditions.
As a firm deeply committed to supporting union workers and their families, our partnership with the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance offers a meaningful and impactful way to give back—a value we hold in the highest regard.
This award represents a significant honor within the union community. Joe’s colleagues at Provost Umphrey extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for his tireless efforts in advancing this important work.
