Our community involvement starts with founder Walter Umphrey, who was recognized as a top Texas lawyer of the 20th century in “Legal Legends: A Century of Texas Law and Lawyering.” He was a member of the board of directors of Texas State Bank, was formerly the chairman of the board for Community Bank and is a former vice chairman of the Texas State Parks and Wildlife Commission. His numerous community contributions included:
