Beaumont, Texas – Provost Umphrey Law Firm has filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of Tiffani McInnis, the surviving daughter of Kimberly Langwell, against Terry Lee Rose, Sr. The case will be managed by equity partners Ed Fisher and Joe Fisher, as well as attorney Keith Hyde.
Kimberly Langwell disappeared 25 years ago, leaving an indelible mark on her family and community. With the recent arrest of Terry Lee Rose, Sr. for Langwell’s murder, this lawsuit seeks to obtain justice for Tiffani, who has endured years of pain and unanswered questions regarding her mother’s fate.
According to news reports, Terry Rose, 67, was arrested on Thursday, June 13, 2024, on a charge of murdering Kimberly Langwell. A Probable Cause Affidavit filed in Jefferson County states that Rose confessed to an informant that he killed Langwell inside his home on Lindbergh on July 9, 1999, the night she disappeared, and buried her on his property. Based on this information, detectives obtained an evidentiary search warrant for Rose’s residence and properties. During the search of his home, human remains were found, which are presumptively believed to be those of Kimberly Langwell. Beaumont police arrested Rose hours after the discovery.
“This case is about holding the responsible party accountable through every legal recourse,” said Ed Fisher, equity partner. “We are committed to pursuing justice for Tiffani McInnis and her family.”
“Tiffani has experienced profound pain and hardship throughout her life due to the untimely loss of her mother. Our goal is to ensure that those responsible are held accountable,” said Joe Fisher, equity partner. ” Beyond securing compensation for the victim’s family, our aim is to prevent the accused from benefiting in any way from this terrible crime.”
By filing this lawsuit, Provost Umphrey Law Firm aims to send a strong message that wrongful acts will not go unpunished, while also raising continued awareness of this case and others like it.
