After graduating from The University of Texas School of Law, John began his legal career as a judicial law clerk to Judge Wendell C. Radford in the Eastern District of Texas. Following a brief stint with Provost Umphrey Law Firm, he served as a law clerk for Judge Robert M. Parker on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
After completing his clerkship with Judge Parker, he returned to Provost Umphrey.
